Day 360 ~ "Savor"

What I Learned About Me... from A to Z
What have I learned about myself this past year {blogging}..?  hmmmm... First off... I would like to make sure you know up front... I never had blogged before until I started this blog 349 days ago.  Secondly... I never intended on learning anything.  HAHA! LOL!  No but seriously... It wasn't my intention...   Check out what my intention(s) were/are here.
So here goes... What I Learned About Me... from A to Z

"S" is for...  Savor  As in...
Verb:
Taste (good food or drink) and enjoy it completely.
All I would like to add to that definition is...

Verb:
Taste (good food or drink), to be in the moment (life),  and enjoy it completely.

To not only taste the delicious food in your mouth... but smell it...  savor it... enjoy it completely.

Don't only live life... but smell the flowers...  look around to your family... take it all in...  savor life... enjoy life completely.

This last year we have lost three family matriarchs.  Three wonderful, grand women.  Without whom my husband and daughter would not be here.

Looking back on all they have accomplished.  Looking around to all that they leave behind.  Savoring all whom surround me.  Taking them all in and enjoying my family completely.

I have learned through our family's loss that life is far too short.

Now don't get me wrong... we were blessed that each one of Dean's grandmothers lived long, full, wonderful lives. Each one of them were blessed to have passed away with their families by their sides, after all having lived well over 95 years ...  now that's living!  {One of his grandmas had recently turned 99 years old too!}

With all that said...

Each moment that I am with my family... I will savor them... each moment I am laughing with my daughter... I will savor them... each moment I love life with my husband... I will savor them... each moment that I am living... I will savor them... I will enjoy them completely!
The heart of marriage is memories; and if the two of you happen to have the same ones and can savor your reruns, then your marriage is a gift from the gods.
~Bill Cosby
Tomorrow...  What I Learned About Me... from A to Z ... the letter(s) "T"

[here's to you finding your... ]
Peace...

Day 318 ~ "S" is for SALE!!

"S" is for Sale... SALE... SALE!  What better word could I have thought of?  Maybe one or two.  But none that could put a smile on your face like [a good] Sale!

Tell me one person that doesn't like a good Sale?  Honestly... I can't think of one, can you?  Please!  Who doesn't like to save money?  They'd be crazy not to.  After all, we have...
your proverbial 20% off Sales, 50% off Sales, even 75% Sales to name a few, then... President's Day Sales, Valentine's Day Sales , St. Patrick's Day Sales, Easter Sales, Mother & Father's Day Sales, Grad Sales, 4th of July Sales, Memorial & Labor Day Sales, Back to School Sales, Halloween Sales, Thanksgiving & Christmas Sales too, not to mention Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer Sales, and two most popular are the Clearance and Going Out of Business Sales!!

Or how about a White Sale, a Red Tag Sale or a Black Friday Sale, a Bake Sale, or even a Sidewalk Sale or a Patio Sale.  Here's a couple more ... Under New Management Sale or a Grand Opening Sale.

We also have non-retailer Sales or For Sale by Owner, and some of my all time favorites...a Yard Sale, a Garage Sale, a Moving Sale, a Consignment Sale, and an Estate Sale.

You could also find good sales at Swap Meets, Flea Markets and Pre-Owned Car lots too!  It's a USED CAR alright!  Don't try to  sugar coat It.  Car  salespersons will do anything to get the  sale!  wink, wink.

Oh I am so sure I probably missed a few (quite a few actually, I keep thinking of more as I write- I'll leave those for you to add to my list)... and not that I don't mind saving a pretty penny... but maybe if everything was priced where it should be to begin with then the retailers wouldn't have to spend so much on all these Sale Signs!

I know that last comment was and is a little unrealistic.  Especially in this economy.  You can't blame a girl for trying, can you?  wink, wink.

Seriously now... how many more Sales can you come up with?
Everyone lives by selling something.

If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.
