Day 300 ~ "C" is for Change!

Change... hmmmm and I'm not talking about what you may get back after paying for a purchase or President Obama either.  wink, wink.

After pondering most of my day away trying to come up with a good subject to blog about tonight, beginning with the letter  "C"... I was stuck on children and childhood, and no matter how I thought about it... well let's just say that it was taking me away from my happy place.

Then out of no where my darling daughter Calley (ooo another word starting with C) said she wanted to change what she was wearing, and the light bulb went off.  Sure I could have written about my daughter and the joy she brings to my life, but I do that anyway.  Big smile.

Change is a great, especially how I am looking at it.  Since starting to blog last June, I almost immediately noticed what was happening to me.  As each day went by with the publishing of a new post, I noticed something wonderful was happening.  I noticed I was walking a little lighter.  I noticed that rehashing and blogging about some of my issues was doing me good, although ultimately my goal is to help someone else besides myself.

As time went on my self esteem and self confidence was affected, and growing with abundance within me.  I was learning things about myself that I had taken for granted.  I was being honest with myself about the good, the bad and the ugly.  I learned that the things that happened in my life, the things that had changed my core-being were not my fault, and it wasn't God's fault either.  I also learned that YES, I had taken responsibility for the bad choices I had made in my life (ooo another word starting with C), but I also had to forgive myself and take responsibility for the good choices I had made as well.

The last 300 days (YES DAY 300!- a true milestone if I ever saw one) have made a tremendous impact on my life, as well as my outlook on life.  Sure I may have a bad day here and there, but not as many as I used to.  The important part of this change is embracing all that has happened to me... the good, the bad and the ugly...  I embrace this change, because it has made me who I am today...

I, for one... will never be the same, thanks to Change!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.  ~ Reinhold Niebuhr

Day 299 ~ "B" is for Blogging

I wonder how many other bloggers decided to choose Blogging  for their "B" word?  I really haven't checked.  Quite frankly, I didn't want my writing to be influenced by reading other blogger's posts before hand.  Now that I think about it, as a rule of thumb, I will not be reading anyone else's posts until I have written my for the day.

So, my guess is that I am not the only one blogging about blogging today.  I thought about being a little more original, wanting to be different as always... but being that for the most part, blogging has not only done me well but it's changed my life... therefore, I will blog from the heart tonight.

299 days ago I started my blog with the goal of doing it every day for an entire year as a means to starting my book.  Well, needless to say, I will not stop blogging anytime soon.  I am currently working on my new web site that will contain all my blogs.  Yes I said ALL my blogs.  I have one blog that I completed as a short challenge, My wii Fit Plus 21-Day Challenge, and the other one, My LifeStyle ReDesign, which I will continue to blog long after my 365 (actually it will be 366 days due to it being leap year) days are up.

299 days ago I had no clue what was ahead of me.  I never knew that through blogging I created a wonderful release for myself, put closure to a lot of issues, and best of all... I am really discovering who I am and what I am about.

I have never felt this complete.  Honestly, I have never done anything that has made me feel this way... well besides my art anyways- and my family doesn't count.  Blogging has given me an outlet, a therapeutic outlet at that.  I've saved a ton of money on therapy that's for sure!!  wink, wink.

Blogging has not only been awesome for my psyche and self esteem, but it has done wonders for my social life too!  I never knew when I started last June that I would meet and become blogging friends with so many wonderful people all over the world.  Wonderful supportive people!

I have become a part of the biggest family I have ever known... The Blogging(s), or better known as Bloggers.

There are no magic wands, no hidden tricks and no secret handshakes that can bring you immediate success.  But with time, energy, and determination you can get there.

Day 298 ~ "A" is for Appreciation

Continued from Days 62, 63, 295, 296 & 297...

I have a feeling that right about NOW (if you have been reading my last three posts, continued from two other posts,) after reading the title of tonight's post, you may be thinking that I may be a little bit confused myself with what I'm supposed to be writing about.

Actually, I am multi-tasking right before your eyes.  wink, wink.  Stay with me a moment and it will become clear to us all.

Two days ago, I came across a fun challenge- Blogging From A to Z Challenge April 2012.

Using this premise, you would start beginning April First with a topic themed on something with the letter A, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until you finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.  It doesn't even have to be a word--it can be a proper noun, the letter used as a symbol, or the letter itself.  The theme of the day is the letter scheduled for that day.  ~Rules from Blogging A to Z Challenge website.

From what I am reading out in the blogging world, this seems to be a challenge for most... HOWEVER, I am already blogging everyday.(not everyone is as crazy as I am!)  If anything this gives me a little challenge to come up with subjects corresponding the assigned letter of the day.  So I said... BRING IT!

"A" is for  Appreciation.  Finishing my last three posts has given me a new sense of appreciation for life.  It is no wonder that it took me 232 days to finish what I had started last August.

Now that was a challenge!  Writing about a very dark time in my life with the goal to one day help someone that may be feeling alone... (oooo another "A" word)... someone who needs to have a Dream Team herself.

It wasn't easy for me to rehash painful memories.  It wasn't easy writing them down, either.  It wasn't easy striking the keys on my keyboard, visualizing moments in my past that had been laid to rest... visualizing them just as fast as each word was appearing on my screen.

BUT, when I finally entered that last period... I appreciated life like I never had before.  With all it's ups and downs, trials and tribulations, and even with some of its hiccups... I feel full Appreciation for life and what it has given me.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.  ~John F. Kennedy
