Day 308 ~ "J" is for Justice

"J" is for Justice.  Yes, Justice.  I also thought that joke or joking would be a good light subject (a funny one at that) to write about too.

Funny thing I must share with you... somehow Legally Blonde found its way on my tv (because I always have to have some background noise on- all my life too, even while doing homework) ... love this movie!  Watching Elle get her justice and the the news of Charles Manson's parole being denied... well let's just say that it made up my mind.

Justice by definition, according to Miriam Webster's dictionary anyway, 1. the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments.. 2. the quality of being just, impartial, or fair and 3.  conformity to truth, fact, or reason.

Doesn't that just make you all warm and fuzzy inside?  (sarcasm, if I ever heard it!)  Doesn't that just sound so perfect?  So sad to know first hand... it isn't always the case.  Whether it's our judicial system's fault or of its players, either way we do not always get to see justice happen.

The key here is not to let the injustices in life consume or define us.  We need to have faith.(oooo this would have been a great "F" word!)  We need to give it to God and let him handle it for us.  We need to continue to lead a happy life, and give the rest to God.

My prayer for justice is for the family of Trayvon Martin to get theirs; the continued "so called justice" for the families of Sharon Tate, the LaBiancas, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger and for the rest of the families that Charles Manson stole lives from...

I know that there are so many more injustices in this world...  not to diminish their importance, but blog posts in general shouldn't be lengthy (you loose your'reader's interest).

To honor those who have had an injustice done to them, or a loved one, My prayer for justice goes out to you too.     There are many of us that have seen our injustices happen... even so... we need to have faith in ourselves and above all in God.

Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

Day 31 ~ The Blackberry Bandit... Will She Get Away With It?

Courtesy of Bing images
The other day, Dean and I were kicking back, chill-axing as I like to say (chilling and relaxing,) talking, and somehow we ended up on the subject of my stolen Blackberry.  I was giving him an update on my Blackberry Blunder...... I had spoken to the detective assigned to my theft report, and he was going to look into it more and get back to me.  I can not give up on this 23 year old and give her the go ahead to mess up her life even more.  She needs to learn that you do not steal.  Then all of a sudden... Dean puts the brakes on!!!

What?!

Well, Dino was a little apprehensive to tell me because he knows how wrong this is and how we need to follow through.  So, he  proceeds to tell me that he has mixed feelings about my going forward with filing charges against Merit Velasco for the theft of my Blackberry (- RIGHT OUT OF MY PURSE!!)
You see we have Calley to think about.  It appears that Merit does not have good influence from her family and friends, let alone have "good" friends and we do not know her one bit... After all, she does have both her father and brother in jail... What if she seeks revenge upon us and sicks her family and friends on us... This situation is horrible, I hate the thought of backing off.  I do not want us to be looking over our shoulders and especially with Calley... This upsets me because this is precisely the reason why people back out of filing charges against thieves and violators... because they feel threatened in some way or in fear for their family and children... and if it wasn't for Calley...
Oh my G!! I could not believe what I was hearing... I could literally feel my temperature rising... and then I put the brakes on me!!!

It wasn't that I did not agree with Dean... I did!!  BUT, what was infuriating me, was the fact that this girl was going to get away with stealing from us.  It is no wonder why our society is falling apart!!  This totally SUCKS!!  There I said It!!

Let me ask you...  What would you do?  Do I back off?  Do I let evil once again win?!

One thing is for sure... I am going to communicate this to the detective and see what he says... and go from there.  I doubt very seriously that we will be put in a "safe house" or in "protective custody", let alone have a "squad car" parked in front of our house... right!  for a Blackberry?  Seriously now, I doubt it very much.  LMBO! (laughing my butt off for the "internet slang challenged")
but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of bloodshed. “Anyone who steals must certainly make restitution, but if they have nothing, they must be sold to pay for their theft. Exodus 22:3

Day 27 ~ An Angel Named Caylee

Courtesy of Bing images
Earlier today I had a topic in mind for my blog... HOWEVER... once the verdict was in... the only thing, or person on my mind right now is Caylee Marie Anthony.  It is very difficult for me to be thinking about myself and my life when a family not only continues to mourn  the loss of their little girl, but now has to deal with the repercussions of the verdict set forth.

So many thoughts going through my mind, and the one that sticks the most is "what did Casey Anthony do with Caylee?"  One entire month goes by, Casey's out partying, getting a new tattoo, and Caylee?... huh?  what? ... E X A C T L Y !!!

WHO LOOSES A CHILD AND DOES NOT REPORT IT FOR A MONTH!!?!?! ... E X A C T L Y !!!

Where's justice when you need it?  So much harm is done by mean, sick and [well let's just put it out there] C R A Z Y  people!!  And by setting Casey free, all the justice system is doing is telling everyone "it's okay, as long as there's a reasonable doubt."  And, I'm sorry but finding her guilty on four "MISDEMEANOR" counts for providing false information to law enforcement does not sit well with me, as well as the rest of the nation.

Tonight, in Caylee's honor, there have been hundreds of messages on Facebook, tweets on Twitter, as well as she being the topic of all news media programming.  We turned on our porch lights at 9:00pm, as did others nationwide.  Candles were lit and flowers forwarded in messages.   Tears were shed and Prayers were said... all for this beautiful little girl... although the ones who need prayer are those of us left to deal with the mess left behind.

At such a tender age Caylee has touched and entered the hearts of millions.  Rest in peace sweet little angel.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14
