Day 553 ~ #IASknown

Thirteen days until Christmas!  Oh my!!
I think I am going to do something different on my blog for December all together.
  1. Last year I did the 12 days of Christmas, which I will do again starting the 14th- which I am sure doesn't make any sense starting on the 14th that is, but if you count the 14th, then the 25th is the twelth day.
  2. This year I was invited by Doug Bender to write four posts about his book Live Second: 365 Ways to Make Jesus First  from December 9th through the 12th . .
  3. Soooo. . .  I have decided that throught the 8th I would share the top Seven things I love about December . . .
  4. And for the last six days of the year, a look back at 2012.

My instructions are to:  1.) You select 4 readings within Session 2 (pg 37-66) of the book to write about  and 2.) During Launch Week, December 9-15, you write four (4) blog entries telling the story of your spiritual journey as you read and interact with the Live Second book and the four readings you choose.
My fourth and final (of four) post is from (quoted from the bookweek 9, Day 7: Known
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too  wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.  ~ Psalm 139:1–6
Nothing is hidden, nothing is secret, nothing escapes God’s eyes.  He knows us,  even better than we know ourselves. So there is no sense in trying to hide our  failures or mask our complaints. Come to God knowing that he already knows. Speak with him believing he knows our words before we do. Tell him what you struggle with.  Ask him your questions and give him your concerns.
Talk with God
“You have searched me . . .”
God, you know everything about me, including . . .
No one knows us better than Him.  He knows us better than we know ourselves.  He knows the choices he will give us, and the choice we will make.  He makes it all available to us, giving us an opportunity each and every time to do what's right, to do what's best.
Heavenly Father . . .  You  know everything about me, including what is in my heart.  There is no  need to tell You what I know You know, because You know it already.  I think that it is important for me to tell You that I accept the challenges and choices you laid out for me.  I not only accept the life you have given me, but I embrace it!  For it is all that you have taught me that has made me who I am today. . .
I finally get it
For it has been You, my Heavenly Father that has always been by my side teaching me and giving me new found strengths which has made me into the compassionate, giving person that I am today.  You were the one that had faith in me, so much so that you knew all along that I would "get it" and find my blessed spoon.
For the faith that you have shown to have in me,is the faith that I have in you.
I praise you for all that you do for me, and for my family . . . I thank you.
Everything I do, I do it in Your name.
All along He had been at my side, just as a mom or dad gently teaches a child how to walk or ride a two-wheeler.

As I prayed, I finally did get it!  I did!  I really did!  All I had to do is open my eyes to Him, open my heart to Him and I finally saw that He did care for me.
