What a wonderful outlook he has in life. Not only that, but he understands this at a young age of 24.
There have been plenty of times in my life that all has been turned upside down and all the plans I had, vanished.
What I have been learning here and as of late is that I have been putting my desires before those of God.
Boy oh boy, I can truly understand and relate to this more than anything. Strange, I have always tried to control things in my life and when things have not gone according to plan... well I basically gave up.Recently, since I have been attending church regularly, studying the Bible, given God a place in my life... well I feel better. It's not to say that miraculously everything in my life is spectacular... it's not. However, the faith in God which is growing inside of me is making me feel that I can accomplish anything.
I know that I have a long road ahead of me and that's okay. Even better is that I know the road that I will be traveling will not be traveled alone. I will be walking with God.
Because I know He is First.... and I am Second.
We are Second when we put Jesus First. Seconds are bold to lift up Jesus and tell others. Are you ready to become a stronger Second?

Such profound insight from a 24-year old...
Oftentimes, I forget that there is a God whom I should put first above all things. When things don't go the way I planned them to, I end up frustrated and miserable.
Keep nurturing that faith in God, Carla. It is empowering, isn't it?
Stories like this give me hope for the four young men for whom I've been praying for years - my daughter's future husbands. I pray they each reach emotional and spiritual maturity so young.
:) I used to be a control freak before twins - now I just pretend I am ;) Actually I plan, but things don't always work out the way I plan, and I have to be ok with that.
I'm always putting myself third :)

What a great word from Sam! I was thinking that so many people think that when we turn over our lives to God that we will never have hardships. That salvation is a cute to those. But in His word it says that we will have times of trouble but to take courage as we have someone with us...inside us...that makes it possible for us to not only endure but to grow. Thanks for sharing!
Each day you amaze me Carla, because as I read your posts I know that the spirit of the Lord is all over your blog, God is really using you in a mighty way, to help others that are going through similar situation. thanks for sharing each day!
Faith really is an amazing concept and one that is a challenge to hold on to day and day out. But I agree with you, the more I practice acknowledging my faith, the more balanced and content and I feel. So glad you are finding what works for you. :)
