Day 191 ~ The Gift of Christmas

WHAT?!?  Eight days until Christmas and counting!?   Aiy!  I am so NOT ready for Christmas this year!

It is amazing on how having a little money makes a difference in being ready for Christmas, or not!.  And being that we have been struggling each month to get all the bills paid, does not prove well.  Luckily, I have gotten Calley a few little gifts... and between that, my in laws, and a few other people, I think she will be very well taken care of.

I am trying to come up with a little project for Calley and I.  One to give her a life lesson in Christmas giving.  Hmmmm  I think we can make some of our delicious cookies and drop them off at the Post Office as a thank you.  Hmmmm.  That's a start.  (Big smile.)

May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!  ~Author Unknown

Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.  ~ Oren Arnold

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
...   three cook books
...   two ceiling fans,
...   our little girl we call Calley

Blessings to all!!

174 days weeks to go...

PS... I love and miss you boys.  To the moon and stars above and back.  You are my sunshines.

I'm not ready for Christmas this year either, some of it's money, mostly it's time. Funny thing is, I'm not bothered at all about it! I'm not sure whether it's age or insanity but I know everything will get done and I'm not stressed out at all! I'm determined to enjoy my holiday and not be so crazed about buying the perfect thing that will either break, not be used or just take up space. I hope you enjoy the week before Christmas! I'm bound and determined to! Enjoy!

Isn't it amazing how wrapped up in the chaos of Christmas we can get? We've been able to make affordable gifts - and it can be a project as well! We give everyone hand-"painted" ornaments. They're pretty cheap at Michael's, and then it gives us a project that can take a couple of days. My youngest loves to paint on them, my older son loves to use glue and glitter on the outside, or glitter or paint swirled on the inside. People always seem really touched by the personal gift, and it only cost us about a dollar an ornament!

Congrats on being a vB featured member!
