What I Learned About Me... from A to Z
What have I learned about myself this past year {blogging}..? hmmmm... First off... I would like to make sure you know up front... I never had blogged before until I started this blog 349 days ago. Secondly... I never intended on learning anything. HAHA! LOL! No but seriously... It wasn't my intention... Check out what my intention(s) were/are here.
So here goes... What I Learned About Me... from A to Z
1967 - 1975 Los Angeles Kings logo |
"U" is for... Unbelievable. What I can't believe about myself...
I just can't believe that I am on Day 362. I mean really. I'm not going to start sugar coating anything to you now... honestly... there were a couple of nights early on... well ... let's just say that I forced myself to post that night. On another {personal} note and along the same line... The {my} Los Angeles Kings just won Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals and lead the series 3-0. Go Kings GO!! This is unbelievable.!!
THIS IS HUGE... so pardon me while I share my absolute happiness here! If you do not follow hockey; the Kings have been a team since 1967 and have NEVER won the Stanley Cup. (one of 12 teams).
I've been a Los Angeles Kings fan for over thirty-nine years now, thanks to my dad. My dad was such a Kings/hockey fan, that we had to plan events around the hockey schedule. He played street hockey for over twenty-five years up until months before his death in the spring of 2006. He was buried in his hockey uniform, skates, stick, gloves, puck and all!

"V" is for... Victory. To be victorious is an amazing feeling. A feeling of euphoria that no one can take away.
I feel victory because of my blogging achievement. Oh YEAH!! I feel awesome right now. I feel victorious!!
SO much so... that I feel that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.
...victorious...
Which brings me back to the Kings!
Talk about
victorious ... what a beautiful game!I know that I am a bit "tunnel-vision" tonight with the Kings victory... and not meant for it to take center stage to my blogging... however... hockey, my dad, games, fights, early games, late games, every weekend ... etc... they all were a big part of my life since I was ten years old. So ... by all right... the Kings deserve a shout out and a spot light in my blog for once.
LA Kings historical moment...
Things had all come together at once for Jack Kent Cooke the eccentric owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers, with a spectacular arena in the Great Western Forum about to open and the NHL about to expand. Cooke who was Canadian Born and missed hockey had long dreamed to bring hockey to Hollywood and with expansion he had that opportunity, as the Kings are one of six expansion teams to join the NHL. Placed with the other five new teams the Kings wearing colorful purple and gold uniforms would finish second in the Western Conference with a record of 31-32-11. However in the playoffs the Kings would be beaten in seven games by the Minnesota North Stars.
